Every summer in Adelaide, the white sandy beaches of Glenelg come alive with the sights and sounds of beach handball.
The previous beach handball season ran from October 2018 to February 2019. Finals were held on 17 February 2019
at Glenelg Beach. Stay tunes for more information on the 2019/20 season.
The SA beach handball competition consists of three divisions: men's, women's and mixed. Teams can consist of up to ten players, with four on the court at any time (mixed teams must have at least two females on the court at all times).
Games are generally held from 2.20pm to sunset, according to the schedule. Teams will play one game each Sunday; each game consists of 2 x 10-minute halves (plus a shoot-out if required).
Teams are required to have a simple uniform, with one colour for court players and a different colour for the goalkeeper/specialist player. Each player must also have a number of their back.
Every player is required to register individually, to participate in games and trainings. Registration is fully online only.
