LIVE STREAM

The Championships is the biggest handball event ever held in Australia outside the Olympics. Thirty five teams will compete on four courts over four days. Hundreds of players will converge in Glenelg from across Australia and the region.

Games will be held approximately 8am until evening each day (except for 4pm finish Sunday) on the south side of the jetty. Games are free and open to the public, and we encourage many spectators to come and take in the spectacular game play that makes beach handball so fantastic to watch.

Alongside the Australian Championships, Handball SA is also proud to host the OCHF Oceania Handball Championships, which double as Oceania qualifications for the 2019 ANOC World Beach Games, to be held in San Diego, USA. Teams from Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands, American Samoa and Kiribati will participate in this event, to decide who will qualify to represent Oceania at the Games.

This is the fifth time that Handball SA has hosted this event, thanks to the Handball Australia, the Office of Recreation Sport and Racing, City of Holdfast Bay and Jetty Road.
