Competition rules are as follows:
This is a social competition. 'Fair play' principles apply
Team members should wear a similar colour playing top, preferably with a number on the back. Unsafe accessories must be removed.
Games will consist of 3 x 15 minute periods with 2.5 minute breaks in-between. Delays in starting play will result in game time being shortened.
Teams must have a minimum of 2 female players on the court at all times. Breaches will result in a suspension
Each goal scored by a female is worth double points
Suspensions are of 1-minute duration only
No team time-outs
A team not able to commence the game on-time with the required minimum number of (5) players will forfeit the game (0-10 loss)
Contact is allowed but expected to be proportionate to the level of the ability/experience of the players involved. Referees will be instructed to protect the fairness of the game by asking players to moderate contact on their opponent
All other standard handball rules apply according to the IHF Rules of the Game
A ten-minute warm-up period will be given before the start of each game
Each team must supply a time/score keeper to complete bench duties according to the roster
